The "close fire" in a daily life and the "distant fire" burning continuously in the far forests are equally expressed as if they are advertised on the same page of the magazine. That may show us the awareness that no matter what kind of fire is, it is fire that matters to us.
I try to avoid making an explanatory drawing that simply shows cause and effect when I decided to participate in this project with the theme of environmental issues.
I chose forest fires as a motif here, but I think it is a first step to take any kinds of environmental issues as our own problem.

Born in the city of Tatebayashi, Gunma in 1989, currently based in Tokyo.
After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2013, he became a freelance painter and designer. He provides his artworks for advertising design, musicians, fashion brands, magazines and so on.
In 2018, he held a solo exhibition at TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS and published new works of "Poster Painting" series which explores new expression combining paintings and posters.
